Hello and Welcome to VX Resource blog : >

I’m providing various resources free to use for your game, though you always need to credit the original author if mentioned (I haven’t done most of the work on the site)

There are also some resources which are NOT to use in commercial games : )

I’ll do my best to update the site daily!

You got some nice resources here, may I ask if I can submit this on my site? With full credit to you of course.

Are you going to credit the original authors of any of these graphics? If not, that is pure plagarism. I have failed to find any credit given on any of the resources.

Umm, most of the graphics I found were not credited where I found them, and the sites were japanese free rpg resource sites.. Like I said on some comment, I will edit all posts I need to and add credits & more descriptions. Also many of the charchips are made by me with the help of junkhunt.

This is a WONDERFUL site. Thank you for having such awesome things.

But quick question, how do you change the faces? That’s so cool, I just wish I knew how to do that.

Is there a “contact us” page somewhere? This appears to be the only place to put feedback/questions. I accidentally placed a comment in a random page because I had no idea what this was. If there isn’t a “contact us” page, please make one. Thanks. Also, if you read my comment (I think it was on the README! page), please delete it. But if you could still read it and stuff that would be great.

Hi, when you say that some ressources are not to be used in commercial games, you mean those who are to be credited to someone else than you right?
I plan to use some of your tilesets (your awesome statue stuff in particular) for my first commercial game and I need to know if they’re really usable or not?
    Thanks for this great blog!

    3 Questions.
    1) What tiles cannot be used in commercial games?
    2) What is you full name so I can credit you.
    3) May I use these in Game Maker: Studio?

May I just insert in my credits that I got some tilesets and other stuff from here? Or do I need to go one by one and list out who I will be crediting.

Can I use all of these resources for commercial use or is it just one’s that say it?

Unless explicitly stated that they are for commercial use then assume no. That is the only safe option.

Personally I wouldn’t use any of these in a commercial game because the person posting them did not create them and I haven’t seen a link to the original author or anything. No mention of commercial or personal use on any of the ones I’ve clicked on so far either.

I guess some tilesets are from other sites and he didn’t look for the credits or license.

I very randomly stumbled on this website while looking for images for my C++ based Role Playing Game, and just wanted to say, THANK YOU! My game is a personal project just to test my skills, and these game assets are absolutely perfect for inspiration!

I know this has been asked several times, but I love the battlers on this site, and I’d like to know which ones I might be able to get permission to use in a commercial game. Would you mind helping me figure that out?

I really need to know if it’s okay with the authors and artists that made these things if I use them in a non commercial game. I have found some citation, but other than that it’s just happy thing (which I like) I do like these graphics a lot, but without citation I don’t want to risk putting them int my game.

Personally I wouldn’t use any of these in a commercial game because the person posting them did not create them and I haven’t seen a link to the original author, credit, no mention of commercial or personal, nothing. If you are making a commercial game your best option is to look on the official rpgmaker website/forums where the real authors post their work rather than a random posts from someone who doesn’t even credit the authors by the looks of it. Some of the downloads MIGHT have a readme file with credits, I don’t know since I haven’t downloaded anything yet.

Hello. I’m making a C# and Monogame based RPG which will be released (for free, of course) in the Windows 10 App Store (both Desktop and Mobile). My queston is: Am I able to use some of the resources shown here (only certain tilesets iw what I need) for this purpose or they are only to be used with RPG Maker VX? If I am able to use them of course I will credit the author(s) but the fact is that some names seems to be missing here.
    Thank you.

You can download it all, just don’t release a commercial game unless you’re willing to get sued. I’ve seen most of these resources before (I’ve had a long history of looking through RPG Maker resources). Most of them are from Japanese sites with specific instructions as to how they should be credited.

Please do not make this website if you are not going to give the right credit or link to the people who worked hard on the items you posted…You are making people get in trouble because of misinformation and no credit link to the original creators…

Thank you so much for such an useful tool, I was planning to do a little game for my students but also I didn’t want to use only the basic resources from the RPG Maker program and this is perfect.

Great site, but we can’t use any of this for commercial products since we do not have the original authors to contact for licensing.
    Great effort nonetheless!
